Position Summary
We’re currently seeking skilled Foremen to lead and guide on-site teams across various construction projects. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of crew members, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Foreman will report directly to the General Foreman and/or Project Superintendent.
We have multiple openings available across different locations. Travel opportunities are available, and per diem as well as work schedules may vary based on specific project assignments. We welcome both local candidates and experienced travelers to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution and oversight of site-specific safety and environmental protocols.
- Lead daily safety briefings, perform regular site inspections, and assist in initial investigations of any incidents or near-misses.
- Coordinate and assign daily tasks to crew members, ensuring adherence to both quality expectations and safety regulations.
- Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and secure storage of tools, equipment, and technical documentation.
- Prepare and distribute daily work plans, clearly communicating project goals and expectations to crews.
- Offer recommendations for improving efficiency and reducing costs in areas like labor, scheduling, and material usage.
- Track materials used on-site, managing inventory and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Measure crew productivity, maintain detailed logs of labor hours and materials used per task.
- Conduct performance evaluations for crew members, supporting their growth and accountability.
- Provide hands-on leadership to one or more field crews, offering guidance, support, and on-the-job training as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on construction or field experience.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a Foreman or similar supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to upholding all Hexanebar safety policies, standards, and procedures.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT as applicable), and a background check.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Solid foundation in basic math and measurement.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Comfortable using computers and technology to support daily tasks.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crawl, and work in elevated or confined spaces including towers, scaffolding, tanks, or excavation areas.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. of tools or materials without assistance.
- Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
