We’re currently seeking experienced Millwright Journeymen to join our CP Chem Project in Orange, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team on a dynamic and rewarding project.
- Pay Range: $32.00 – $34.00/hour (based on certifications)
- Per Diem: $95.00/day worked (if eligible)
- Schedule: 5 days/week, 10-hour shifts (5x10s)
Your Role: What You’ll Do
As a Millwright Journeyman, you will bring technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality as you help support the construction, installation, and maintenance of critical equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely operate hand and power tools for daily tasks
- Promote and maintain a safety-first mindset on the job site
- Work with and around rotating equipment with a strong understanding of its function and maintenance
- Execute tasks in alignment with project specifications and quality standards
- Keep accurate inventory and accountability of tools and materials throughout your shift
- Support supervisors by identifying upcoming task needs and coordinating work with other trades
- Assist with required documentation for safety, quality, and compliance processes
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and encourage teamwork on-site
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and carry out installations
- Follow permit procedures and ensure full understanding of required permits before starting work
- Accurately track and manage project components and materials
- Safely disassemble, inspect, and reassemble various types of rotating equipment
- Represent Hexanebar positively to clients, partners, and peers
- Participate actively in health, safety, quality, and environmental programs
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in the industrial millwright trade (petrochemical, cement plant, power generation, etc.)
- Skilled in reading and interpreting P&IDs, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Proven ability to set, grout, align, and install pumps, motors, shafts, and seals
- Strong understanding of millwright tolerances and measurements
- Familiar with lubrication systems, oil mist systems, and basic vibration analysis
- Experience using laser alignment tools
- Capable of performing basic layout for equipment installation
- Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to read and follow safety instructions and permits in English
- Must successfully complete site-specific training and Hexanebar skill assessments
