What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading and facilitating engineering kickoff meetings to ensure alignment at the start of each project
- Preparing follow-up assessments and summary reports to capture key outcomes and action items
- Conducting regular quality checks on project engineering performance — reviewing submittal processes, progress, and approval workflows
- Ensuring teams consistently apply and document Hexanebar’s standard engineering procedures
- Collaborating on high-risk submittals with project teams to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency
- Serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for engineering-related questions or challenges during construction
- Helping standardize engineering procedures across the division and working with the Project Systems Champion to implement them into platforms like PM4, Autodesk Cloud, and future digital tools
- Supporting pursuit efforts, including background research, schedule input, and proposal strategy in partnership with the Scheduling Manager
- Assisting preconstruction efforts with the Estimating department — offering input on design reviews, value engineering, early procurement, and contract scope
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and overseeing their work assignments
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in construction, with demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities
- A solid understanding of safety principles and experience promoting a strong safety-first culture
- Deep industry knowledge, including building codes, construction techniques, materials, and quality assurance practices
- Proven skills in managing budgets, timelines, and project priorities effectively
- Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with project stakeholders, team members, and partners
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and project management tools, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology
