About the Opportunity: Scheduling Manager
We’re currently seeking a Scheduling Manager to join our Minneapolis office. In this leadership role, you’ll play a critical part in managing project timelines and planning across multiple small- to large-scale initiatives, ensuring we stay on track and ahead of schedule.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading schedule development and updates for several smaller projects or one major, complex build
- Collaborating closely with superintendents and project managers during the planning and scheduling phase, including pursuits and preconstruction
- Analyzing activity durations using quantity takeoffs and production rates to maintain a realistic and efficient master schedule
- Conducting schedule risk assessments and communicating findings to senior leadership
- Ensuring timely and accurate updates of schedules across the project life cycle
What You Bring to the Role
- Postsecondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field (degree or diploma preferred)
- Certification in project scheduling (a plus)
- 8–10 years of proven scheduling experience in construction or a closely related sector
- 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, specifications, and contract documents
- Expertise in interpreting schedule clauses within contracts
- Solid background in field operations and construction sequencing — from project planning through closeout
- Ability to approach complex planning and engineering problems with innovative, practical solutions
- Familiarity with industry best practices and the strategic ability to apply them effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting and influencing decisions
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and able to collaborate across departments and stakeholders including estimators, field teams, clients, and subcontractors
- Highly organized with a talent for juggling multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strategic mindset for optimizing planning processes and aligning with district goals
- Experience using a range of scheduling software is strongly preferred
- This role is designated as safety-sensitive
